Koofr lifetime deal

Hosting · StackSocial · 13.8 yrs live · by Koofr

Koofr's 1TB lifetime cloud storage plan has been sold as cloud storage for life, a lifetime subscription paid as a one-time fee with no recurring payments. Anyone who buys storage for life is trusting the vendor to keep delivering it. This page does not ask what the service stores. It asks whether that promise is still being kept years after people paid. Right now the register holds no verified buyer report either way, so the honoring status is open. Nobody has yet documented here, with receipts, whether a lifetime plan still logs in, still offers the storage space it was sold with, and still syncs and shares files. If you hold a Koofr lifetime license, confirm it still works or report a breakage. The seal stays unearned until a verified confirmation lands. A single verified, unrebutted breakage would keep it off automatically. While a deal is unverified the register shows no affiliate link for it; that link appears only for deals verified as honored.

What it is

Koofr (koofr.eu) is a cloud storage solution made by Koofr d.o.o., a company headquartered in Slovenia. Its press page describes it as a privacy-oriented, EU-based and GDPR compliant provider founded in 2013. Its blog says the product officially launched in February 2013. The vendor pitches it as secure cloud storage with files held in data centres across the EU, and its home page says Koofr doesn't track your activities. The home page also says you can bring your existing cloud accounts, accounts like Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive, into one app and search across all of them at once, and its pricing page names the same three providers as connections. It also offers Office for the web for editing documents online and sharing through expiring links or user-specific permissions. Vault is client-side encrypted storage for sensitive files. Paid plans add automatic mobile media backup, two-way sync, file versioning, a duplicate finder and unlimited file size. Apps cover any web browser, Windows, Mac and Linux desktops, and iOS, Android and Huawei smartphones. The first 10 GB are free with no credit card. Gift cards can be bought in an account and stacked to extend a plan.

The lifetime deal

The vendor's own pricing page lists no lifetime plan, only yearly subscriptions, a free plan and gift cards. The 1TB lifetime deal has been sold through StackSocial as Koofr Cloud Storage Plans: Lifetime Subscription (1TB). The listing pitches it as a way to get lifetime access to 1TB of Koofr cloud storage for a single fee. It gives a suggested price of $810, a deal price of $199.99 and $159.99 with the code KOOFR. Its length of access is lifetime, per the terms of service and inactivity policy. According to the listing, buyers get 1 TB of storage, unlimited devices, updates, a duplicate finder, advanced renaming options and link appearance customization, with access by smartphone, personal computer or WebDAV. An instant redemption code arrives by email. Redeeming needs an existing Koofr account, and each person can redeem one code, within 15 days of purchase. Popular Science carried a sponsored StackSocial post on 25 November 2025 quoting $129.99 with code KOOFR until 11 January 2026. The listing shows 4.6 out of 5 stars on G2 and GetApp, which says nothing about the lifetime promise. It shows no end date, but other sources quote different prices for the same plan. Check the live page and its terms.

Pricing

The pricing page says only yearly subscriptions are currently possible. Prices are shown per month and include 22 percent VAT: 1 TB costs 10 EUR, 500 GB 7 EUR, 250 GB 4 EUR, 100 GB 2 EUR, 2.5 TB 20 EUR and 5 TB 35 EUR. Against that, the one-time StackSocial price of $159.99 with code KOOFR covers a lifetime cloud storage plan, while the 1 TB subscription adds up to 120 EUR a year. Tiers differ in ways holders should check. Local folders appear only from the Suitcase tier up. That tier also lifts Vault Safe Boxes to 5, external cloud connections to 18 and the daily public transfer limit to 1 TB. The listing does not say which tier a lifetime license maps to. StackSocial says unredeemed codes can be returned for store credit within 15 days, and that sales are final once a license is redeemed. The pricing page states no refund policy. Anyone buying storage space should match the plan to their storage needs, read the terms of service and privacy policy, confirm in writing what it covers, and keep the receipt.

Signals to watch

Here is how any lifetime deal breaks. Koofr's lifetime accounts or old codes stop working. The Koofr storage space shrinks below the 1 TB it was sold with. Features move behind a higher paid tier or a new add-on, whether that is using WebDAV, local folders, Vault or connections to other clouds. The inactivity policy named in StackSocial's listing is applied in a way holders did not expect. Or the service shuts down. None is recorded here today, because no verified report exists yet. They are simply the signals the register tracks. They are also the reason a buyer's confirmation, backed by receipts and recent access proof, counts for more than any sales page. Cloud storage is one purchase where privacy is another factor to weigh.

FAQ

Is the Koofr lifetime deal still honored?

On this register, open. No buyer has yet verified, with receipts, that a lifetime plan still works with the storage it was sold with. A vendor's or reseller's promise doesn't earn the seal, a verified buyer confirmation does. Hold a license? File the first one.

Is the Koofr lifetime deal still available in 2026?

The StackSocial listing was online when this page was written, showing $159.99 with the code KOOFR and no end date. The vendor's own pricing page lists no lifetime plan. Check the live listing and its redemption rules before buying, since Koofr and StackSocial each publish their own terms.

Is the Koofr lifetime deal legit or a scam?

The register takes no view on intent. The Koofr cloud service is run by Koofr d.o.o. in Slovenia, which says it was founded in 2013, and StackSocial allows an unredeemed code to be returned for store credit within 15 days. The risk every lifetime deal carries is that terms shift years later.

Is the Koofr lifetime deal worth it?

It suits you if your storage needs mean you want to get 1TB for years and would otherwise pay the yearly 1 TB subscription, 10 EUR a month on its pricing page. A one-time payment of $159.99 can come out cheaper over a few years than a yearly plan. The listing does not say which tier the license maps to, so ask first.

Is Koofr end-to-end encrypted?

The vendor says files are encrypted and stored in EU data centres, and StackSocial's listing says files are encrypted at rest and in transit. Client-side encryption is offered through Vault, so check which files you place there.

What is better than Koofr?

It depends on the job. The pitch here is EU hosting and one app for several connected accounts. Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive are the large general-purpose options, while pCloud, Proton Drive and Internxt are other privacy-focused services. If you would rather use another cloud storage provider, compare on storage, encryption and price model, and check each one's standing on this register.
