Pictory lifetime deal
Pictory was sold on AppSumo as a one-time lifetime deal: pay once, keep a Pictory account for life, with access to future updates of the plan you bought. The question this page answers isn't what Pictory AI does, it's whether that lifetime promise is still being kept years after people paid. Right now the register holds no verified buyer report on Pictory either way, so its honoring status is open; nobody has yet documented here, with receipts, whether a lifetime account still logs in, still exports videos and still gets the updates the deal described. If you hold a Pictory lifetime license, confirm it still works or report a breakage. The seal stays unearned until a verified confirmation lands, and a single verified, unrebutted breakage would keep it off automatically. While a deal is unverified the register shows no affiliate link for it; affiliate links only appear on verified-honored deals.

Pictory (Pictory AI, at pictory.ai) is an AI video creation tool made by Pictory Corp., a Seattle-area company co-founded by Vikram Chalana. It turns scripts into videos, blog posts and articles into short videos from text, and long recordings such as webinars, podcasts or Zoom calls into short video clips with captions. The Pictory workflow is simple: paste a script, a URL or a transcript, and the AI picks stock visuals, adds AI voices and an animated caption track, then lets you edit the video by editing its text. Pictory says it built its first prototype at a 2019 Seattle hackathon and launched the first version of the product in July 2020. Since then the AI video tools have grown to include AI avatars, voice clones, a brand kit, team workspaces, an API and newer generative video models. Marketers, course creators and teams use Pictory to create videos for social clips, training videos and YouTube content without hiring a video production team or learning complex video editing tools. For lifetime buyers, the appeal was simple: text-to-video without a monthly bill.
The lifetime deal
Pictory launched on AppSumo on July 27, 2021, announced by its CEO on the deal page. AppSumo sold three lifetime license tiers with no codes and no stacking: Tier 1 at $59, Tier 2 at $119 and Tier 3 at $259 (archived listing, August 2021). Tier 1 covered 30 video projects a month, 60 minutes per upload, 1 GB per upload and 10 hours of transcription a month with no Pictory branding; Tier 3 raised that to unlimited projects, 180 minutes and 5 GB per upload and 100 hours of transcription. On July 30, 2021 AppSumo posted an update adding voiceover-to-video and multiple brands (up to 5 on Tier 2, up to 10 on Tier 3), with the Tier 3 limits confirmed live on August 11, 2021. The deal promised all features of the then Premium Plan plus all future Premium Plan updates. Archived snapshots show it sold out by October 2021, and the AppSumo page now reads as unavailable.
Pricing
The lifetime deal was a one-time payment that replaced a recurring paid plan; AppSumo displayed list values of $588, $1,176 and $2,352 for the three tiers. Today Pictory sells subscriptions only. Its pricing page lists Starter at $25 a month billed annually ($29 billed monthly), Professional at $35 billed annually ($59 monthly), Teams at $119 billed annually ($199 monthly) and a custom Enterprise plan, metered in AI credits and video minutes; voice clones and custom avatars start at the Professional plan. The page mentions no lifetime or AppSumo plan, and the Premium Plan named in the deal is no longer on it; the register holds no verified report on how lifetime holders were mapped. AppSumo's terms were a 60-day money-back guarantee and activation within 60 days. Pictory's own subscriptions renew monthly or annually unless canceled, come with a 14-day free trial and, per its pricing page, no refunds on paid plans. Confirm current terms before you pay.
Signals to watch
What to watch, the way any lifetime deal breaks: the company stops honoring old AppSumo codes, so lifetime accounts no longer log in or export; it caps or shrinks what a tier included, such as projects per month, upload length or transcription hours; features that should arrive as future plan updates move behind a new paid plan or add-on instead; or the product is shut down or support for legacy accounts is abandoned. None is recorded on Pictory's page here today, because no verified report exists yet; they are simply the signals the register tracks, and the reason a buyer's confirmation, backed by a receipt and recent access proof, counts for more than any review or announcement.
FAQ
Is the Pictory lifetime deal still honored?
On this register, the answer is open. No buyer has yet verified, with receipts, that a Pictory lifetime account still works and still gets the plan updates the AppSumo deal described. A vendor's or marketplace's promise doesn't earn the seal, a verified buyer confirmation does. Hold a Pictory AppSumo license? File the first report.
Is the Pictory lifetime deal still available?
No. The AppSumo deal ran from July 2021 and sold out by autumn 2021; the AppSumo page now shows it as unavailable. Pictory currently sells monthly or annual subscriptions (Starter, Professional, Teams, Enterprise) with a 14-day free trial.
When does the Pictory lifetime deal expire?
It has no end date; it was sold as lifetime access, not a trial or annual plan. But lifetime means the product's lifetime, not yours: it lasts as long as Pictory keeps honoring it. That is the open question this page tracks.
Is the Pictory lifetime deal legit or a scam?
Pictory is a real, funded AI video company and the deal was sold through AppSumo with a 60-day refund window. The register takes no view on intent; it records whether a lifetime promise is kept, using verified buyer reports. Right now it holds none for Pictory either way.
How much does Pictory AI cost now?
Per Pictory's pricing page: Starter $25 a month billed annually ($29 monthly), Professional $35 billed annually ($59 monthly), Teams $119 billed annually ($199 monthly), and custom Enterprise pricing. Plans are measured in AI credits and video minutes. The register doesn't track coupon codes; check the live pricing page.
Was the Pictory lifetime deal worth it?
At $59 to $259 once against a paid plan of $25 to $119 a month, the math favoured buyers who kept using it, provided the lifetime account keeps working. Whether it does, and which newer Pictory AI features it includes, is exactly what a verified holder report here would settle.
