Retable lifetime deal

SaaS · AppSumo · 3.4 yrs live · by Retable

Retable was sold on AppSumo as a lifetime deal: pay once, keep a Team-plan workspace for life. The question this page answers isn't what Retable does, it's whether that lifetime promise is still being kept. Right now the register holds no verified buyer report on Retable either way, so its honoring status is open; nobody has yet documented here, with receipts, whether a lifetime account still opens, still holds its limits and still gets product updates. If you hold a Retable license, confirm it still works or report a breakage. The seal stays unearned until a verified confirmation lands, a single verified, unrebutted breakage would keep it off automatically, and while the deal is unverified no affiliate link shows on this page. Announcements and reviews don't answer the honoring question, only a buyer with a receipt does.

What it is

Retable (retable.io) is a no-code, spreadsheet-like data management tool for teams, a direct alternative to Airtable and a step up from a shared Google Sheets file. You build projects inside a workspace, pick a column type for each field (select options, attachments, links and more), and switch the same data between grid, kanban, calendar and form views, with row detail panels for each record. Real-time collaboration lets a team edit together, while automation and webhooks streamline repetitive workflow steps, and a public API plus a built-in ChatGPT integration (bring your own key) connect it to other tools. Teams use it as a lightweight CRM, for project management, inventory or content tracking, anywhere a spreadsheet has outgrown itself. Retable says it serves 32,000+ users and 2,500+ customers; for larger organizations its Enterprise plan lists on-premise or dedicated cloud hosting. Retable also sells add-ons (extra automations, runs, storage, upload limits) and announces new features in its "What's new in Retable" product updates and its Discord community.

The lifetime deal

Retable launched its lifetime deal on AppSumo on June 11, 2023, and its own year-end post says it was named the best-performing deal and best-selling new offer on that year's Sumo Day. Retable's blog lists the entry tier at $49, with higher one-time tiers above it; the AppSumo listing itself no longer shows prices and the deal is marked sold out. The listing's three tiers differ only by seats (5, 10 or 50 users) and promise lifetime access plus all future Team Plan updates. On November 7, 2024, AppSumo posted an official notice on the listing: it said the Retable team had announced it was shutting down due to financial troubles, then announced changes to support the platform's long-term growth, with holders able to choose between a Founder's Preferential Plan or keeping their Legacy LTD plan with some changes. AppSumo offered refunds under its We Got Your Back guarantee to buyers who contacted it by December 14, 2024. In public replies during 2025, Retable stated that AppSumo lifetime licenses remain valid and are served through a separate legacy platform at legacy.retable.io, and that the company has not been sold. The register holds no verified report on how those changes affected lifetime holders in practice.

Pricing

Retable's current pricing page lists a Team plan at $12 per user per month (annual billing discounted), with 50,000 records per project, 10 automations and 1,000 automation runs per project per month, 10 GB attachment space per workspace and a public API, plus a contact-sales Enterprise plan and a 14-day free trial. The AppSumo tiers mirrored those Team-plan limits, so a one-time $49 entry tier (as Retable's blog lists it) replaced roughly a $120-per-user yearly subscription. The deal carried AppSumo's 60-day money-back window, which has long closed, and the deal is sold out. Two terms matter for anyone holding one in 2026: whether a lifetime account sits on the legacy platform or the main app, and whether it still receives the future Team Plan updates the listing promised. Confirm your current plan and limits inside your account before relying on them.

Signals to watch

What to watch, the way any lifetime deal breaks: the company stops honoring old codes, so a lifetime account no longer opens or is closed; it caps or shrinks what a tier included, such as records, automations, seats or storage; it moves features or new product updates behind a new paid add-on or a separate plan; or it shuts down or abandons support for lifetime accounts. For Retable the practical checks are whether your legacy account still loads your data, matches the limits on your AppSumo tier, and receives updates. None is recorded here today, because no verified report exists yet; they are simply the signals the register tracks.

FAQ

Is the Retable lifetime deal still honored?

On this register, open. No buyer has yet verified, with receipts, that a Retable lifetime account still works as sold. Retable has publicly stated that AppSumo licenses remain valid through legacy.retable.io, but a vendor's statement doesn't earn the seal, a verified buyer confirmation does. Hold a license? File the first report, either way.

Does the Retable lifetime deal expire?

It was sold as lifetime access with no renewal, not a trial. But lifetime means the product's lifetime: it lasts as long as Retable keeps honoring it. That's the open question this page tracks.

Have Retable lifetime deals gone away or been discontinued?

The AppSumo deal is sold out, so new buyers can't get one. For existing holders, AppSumo's November 2024 notice described a choice between a Founder's Preferential Plan and a Legacy LTD plan, and Retable says lifetime licenses stay valid on its legacy platform. The register holds no verified report on how that works in practice.

Is the Retable lifetime deal worth it?

At sale it replaced a per-user Team subscription with one payment, which suited small teams moving off spreadsheets or Airtable. Since the deal is closed and the restructuring notice is on record, the useful question now is whether existing accounts keep their limits and updates, which verified holder reports here will answer.

Is Retable legit or a scam?

The register takes no view on intent. Retable is a working product with public pricing, and AppSumo offered refunds after its financial notice. What the register records is narrower: whether the lifetime promise is kept, backed by receipts.

How does Retable compare to Airtable?

Both are spreadsheet-database tools with multiple views, automation and an API. Retable's pitch was simpler pricing and a lifetime option; compare current limits on each pricing page before choosing.
